Big pulls. Better packaging.
Slabs, singles or sealed packs? Give your next opening the POP1 treatment.
Find your bag →The slab gets the spotlight. The packaging sets up the reveal.
Whether you run a Pokémon card shop, sell on Whatnot or stock several trading card games, your packaging should suit what you sell. For mystery graded cards, top-loaded singles and sealed TCG packs, your bag is the first thing customers see. It introduces your shop, builds anticipation and gives that next opening a little more personality.
But before you choose the dragons, the colours or the “What’s Inside?” wording, there’s one practical question to answer: will your product fit?
Let’s find the right format for your next reveal. POP 1 Prints offers 130 × 210mm slab-size bags and 110 × 170mm pack/card-size bags, with labelled and direct-printed options for different order sizes.
Slab, single or pack? Start here
| What’s going inside? | POP1 format to consider | Check before you commit |
|---|---|---|
| A graded trading card in its slab | 130 × 210mm slab-size bag | The complete slab’s width, height and thickness, including any outer sleeve |
| A single card in a top loader | 110 × 170mm pack/card-size bag | The holder’s dimensions, plus any team bag or extra wrapping |
| A single sealed TCG pack | 110 × 170mm pack/card-size bag | The whole wrapper, including the crimped ends |
| A bundle or an unusually large holder | Speak to us first | Everything you want to pack together |
A quick sizing tip: these are the overall pouch dimensions. Seams, the zip and the pouch shape affect the usable space inside. Measure your actual item and leave room to pack it comfortably.
Graded slabs: give the reveal some room
Got a mystery graded-card range ready to launch? Start with the slab, including any protective outer sleeve you use. Grading holders can vary, so check the complete item rather than measuring the card inside it.
Our 130 × 210mm slab-size bags are the format to consider for this type of presentation. Your slab should slide into the pouch comfortably, with enough room to close the zip without forcing it.
Then comes the fun part: the artwork.
A bold “Mystery Graded Card” or “Mystery Slab” heading tells customers what they’re opening. Your logo makes it yours. A character, colour scheme or illustrated scene can give your range a recognisable identity across your shop display, product photos and live streams.
Keep the important bits inside the template’s safe area. Keep shop names, key artwork and QR codes clear of trim lines, seams and the zip so the finished design stays easy to recognise and read.
Choose custom labelled slab-size bags for a smaller run, or explore custom direct-printed slab-size bags for a larger launch.
Top-loaded cards: let your shop make an entrance
A single card can still have a memorable reveal. Branded mystery-card packaging gives your shop a place in that moment, whether the order is opened at the counter, on stream or at home.
Our 110 × 170mm pack/card-size bags are intended for a single mystery top-loaded card or a single mystery TCG pack. For singles, measure the card in the protection you actually use: sleeve, top loader and any extra wrapping included.
Make the artwork clear as well as colourful. “Mystery Top-Loaded Card” tells customers what’s inside the format; “Who Will You Reveal?” can bring the anticipation. A matching logo and colour palette can connect the bag to your stickers, business cards and other shop packaging.
The pouch handles the presentation. Keep using appropriate protection for the card itself; it does not replace a sleeve or rigid holder.

Sealed TCG packs: build up to the opening
The rip starts before the booster wrapper comes off. Your outer bag can set the scene, introduce the product and give customers something recognisable to look for next time.
For a single sealed pack, start with our 110 × 170mm pack/card-size format. Measure the full wrapper, including its crimped ends. Pack sizes vary between games and products, so check the particular pack you’re selling.
Want to add bonus cards or several packs? Measure the complete bundle and ask us about fit before ordering.
For the design, “Mystery TCG Pack” keeps the product clear. “Which Pack Will You Reveal?” adds a little curiosity. You could also leave a space for a price sticker if you plan to use the bags across different releases.
Build excitement around the actual contents. Keep any wording about chase cards, rarity or value accurate to what you’re selling.
Explore custom pack/card-size direct-printed bags for artwork printed directly onto the pouch.
Labelled or direct-printed? Match the method to the launch
You’ve picked the format. Now, how many reveals are you planning?
Labelled bags: start small and make it yours
A professionally printed label is applied to the pouch, giving you a custom design with a smaller starting quantity. POP1’s custom labelled bags start from 10 bags.
Launching your first mystery range? Trying a new theme? Preparing a small batch for a store event? Labelled bags give you a way to get started without ordering thousands at once.
Direct-printed bags: plan for the bigger run
Your artwork is printed directly onto the pouch for a fully printed finish. POP1’s custom direct-printed bags start from 1,000 bags.
This is an option when you have a larger launch planned or a design you want to keep using across an established range.
Choose around your quantity, budget, design plans and launch date. Check the current order options and production times on the product page before you commit.
If you need to heat-seal your packaging, check the exact product specification too. Our custom labelled slab-size pouch is not heat-sealable; the custom direct-printed slab-size pouch is heat-sealable. A zip closure alone is not a tamper-evident seal.
Want a ready-designed bag instead?
You do not need to commission bespoke artwork to give your range a distinctive look. Browse our ready-designed TCG packaging, choose the format that fits your product and check the available quantities and print methods. Eligible designs also offer optional supplied logo or QR placement if you want to add your shop’s identity.
Before you hit “Add to cart”
A few quick checks can save a lot of repacking:
- Measure it as you’ll pack it. Include the holder, sleeve and any extra wrapping.
- Give the zip some room. Your item should go in comfortably and let the pouch close properly.
- Order for the launch you’re actually planning. A small labelled run can help you test a new range before ordering a larger batch.
- Use the right artwork template. Download the matching bag template from our artwork templates page. Bag size and artwork size are not always the same. Keep logos, wording and QR codes within the marked safe area.
- Think beyond the reveal. If you’re posting the order, choose suitable protective outer packaging as well as the branded pouch.
A few questions before the next reveal
Can I use the same bag size for top-loaded cards and packs?
Yes. POP1’s 110 × 170mm pack/card-size format is intended for either a single mystery top-loaded card or a single mystery TCG pack. Check your item’s dimensions, then use distinct artwork so customers can tell your singles and packs apart.
Will every graded slab fit a slab-size bag?
Check first. Holders vary, and outer sleeves add to the size. Measure the complete item and contact us if you’re unsure about fit, an unusual holder or a bundle.
I’ve got the idea, but not the artwork. Can you help?
Yes. You can choose the optional POP1 design service on eligible custom products and send us your brief. Already have a finished design? Download the selected product’s template and check your artwork against it before uploading.
